Beyond the classroom, Lyce Franais de Toronto students benefit from a rich extracurricular program that encourages leadership, creativity, teamwork, and global engagement. Through the AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad) network, our students are part of a worldwide community of more than 600 French schools across over 130 countries. In recent years, LFT students have represented the school at AEFE tournaments and competitions in Montreal, New York, Boston, New Orleans, Panama, and Athens, building friendships, cultural connections, and athletic skills while proudly representing Canada on an international stage. Our performing arts program is another highlight of student life. Each year, the Drama Club culminates in a full-scale musical production involving students from multiple grade levels. Recent productions have included Matilda Jr. and The Wizard of Oz, giving students valuable experience in acting, singing, dancing, stage production, and teamwork. Students also excel in our Model United Nations program, developing public speaking, negotiation, diplomacy, and critical thinking skills. Participants regularly attend conferences across Canada and the United States, collaborating with students from diverse backgrounds while debating real-world global issues. Additional opportunities in athletics, arts, leadership, community service, and special interest clubs allow students to explore their passions, develop new talents, and build the confidence and skills that prepare them for success both at university and beyond.
