COSTI Refugees & Human Rights Child & Youth Poetry Contest

Our Grade 8 Student, Rykaa Shetty, places 3rd in the COSTI Poetry Contest. Congratulations, we are very proud of your tremendous work and efforts!

Congratulations to Rykaa Shetty in Grade 8, whose poetry submission to the COSTI Refugees & Human Rights Child & Youth Poetry Contest has won third place in the provincial round of the competition. Rykaa will be receiving a plaque and has been invited to attend a virtual awards ceremony.

WOW! Well done, Rykaa. COSTI’s Refugees & Human Rights Child & Youth Poetry Contest aims to bring greater attention to human rights abuses and the plight of refugees. Students were invited to write a poem on the theme of “Refugees and Human Rights.” The poetry contest was open to all students in Grades 4-12 in the Province of Ontario.

A special thank you also goes out to Mrs. Cota, who led and supported the students through this competition.
