RHMS hosted its annual Science Expo with grades seven and eight students. Students were asked to consider challenges like innovation, discovery and environment.
Grades sevens and eights performed experiments, analysis, and created displays and models to share their findings with a panel of judges, including RHMS alumni.
The senior students showcased projects such as: Rescue Robots - a study on wheels and their usefulness in different terrains; the effectiveness of organic verses antibacterial soaps; solar verses electric vehicles; building a smart medicine container; and the effects gaming has on the heart.
Projects that took top places included eco-friendly shampoo bottles; a autonomous watering system; the anti-forgetting car device, designed for items like baby seats; aquaponics - tilapias verses guppies; as well as the sound of plastic - tracking waste pollution through machine and sound.
Five finalists will go on to compete regionally. Congratulations to all of our students!
