X School Reviews

X School organizes learning around developmental readiness rather than grade-level pacing. Students work in multi-age pods and set goals. They track their progress and advance as they demonstrate mastery. Academic work is enriched through projects and Socratic discussion. Presentations build confidence, while entrepreneurship and STEM connect ideas with practical situations. Outdoor experiences create a setting for discovery. The school’s THRIVE approach gives emotional intelligence a place beside literacy and numeracy. Self-awareness and relationship skills receive attention. The aim is to develop capable learners who know how to seek answers and manage themselves. Students receive agency, but they are not left on their own. Mentors provide coaching and feedback within a structure. This can benefit children who feel constrained or overlooked in classrooms. Families should be comfortable with an unfamiliar model and progress that may not follow a timetable. X School brings academic mastery together with personal growth and learner-led exploration.
