This year Nile Academy is proud to announce it's amazing success in the 2015-2016 EQAO Testing (Ontario's Provincial Assessment Program) for grade 3 and 6 students. Our school came first among 2900 other schools in Ontario!
Nile Academy elementary students continue to perform at levels well above the provincial average. The results include all of the province's public and catholic school boards as well as some independent schools. The Fraser Institute website ranks each school's academic performance on the tests, which include assessment in reading, writing, and math. Nile Academy was among the 9 Elementary schools who were tied for first place.
Our students and teachers worked very hard last year to achieve these results. Teachers incorporated EQAO strategies into the curriculum they taught throughout the school year. The students also showed their dedication by staying almost every day after school to fit in extra study sessions a few months before the test.
We are incredibly proud of the academic achievement our elementary students demonstrated through their recent EQAO results.
