- The fact that Hudson is a small school gives students the opportunity to meet other students and find their community. We chose Hudson College by first narrowing down schools that seemed a good fit for our son. We brought him to meet students and the head of school at three different Toronto-area schools, ultimately leaving the decision to him. He chose Hudson, mostly based on his positive experience with the students who would become his classmates.
Our son has found Hudson to be a supportive environment… He has also found a strong sense of community with his classmates, which was a key factor in his decision to attend Hudson.
The guidance counsellor has been one of the most valuable aspects of Hudson for our family. She advised our son on courses and strategies for university success, helping him gain acceptance to 12 universities across the U.S. and Canada, including several honours programs. The teachers have been incredibly supportive as well, helping him navigate challenges and succeed academically.
We also appreciated the international trips, which were longer than typical spring breaks and gave students an opportunity to immerse themselves in other cultures.
Teachers were outstanding, offering guidance, tips, and resources to ensure students could succeed academically. This level of support is a core strength of the school.
The size of the school is a significant advantage. Small class sizes allow students to meet a wide range of peers and feel included, while the diverse population ensures a rich and supportive learning environment.
The three biggest reasons we recommend Hudson are: the community, the guidance counsellor, and the teaching faculty. Students are fully supported academically, socially, and personally, and the faculty truly cares about their well-being.
