North Point School ADMISSIONS
Private schools in Canada have admissions policies, and they require application materials. These may include letters of application, application fees, essays, and tests (such as the SSAT). Many schools also require interviews with prospective students. Schools also use different criteria for evaluating student applications, have different acceptance rates, and target different kinds of students. To improve your child’s chances of acceptance, find out everything you can about a school’s admissions policies and how they assess applicants.

Young Entrepreneurs Business Fair
At the 6th Young Entrepreneurs Annual Business Fair, over 150 students in Grades K-12 showcase and sell their creations.
For one day only, hundreds of Calgarians can shop at dozens of student businesses at one of Canada’s largest student business fairs.
Presented by the Financial Academy at North Point Schools, this unforgettable event is the culmination of months of planning and hard work by our students as part of the entrepreneurship and financial education program. They plan, create and launch a student-business to sell their products or services at this one-day business fair.
Businesses in past years have included products or services such as self-made handicrafts, cards, fine arts, toys, fashion accessories, handmade soaps, pet treats, creative games, face painting, magic tricks, singing, or playing an instrument.
The Business Fair allows North Point students to experience the entrepreneurial process and provides a marketplace for our future business men and women. Over the course of several months, each student will decide on their product or service, develop a business plan and marketing strategy, and manufacture their product or service to sell at the Business Fair. We encourage all to be creative, successful and profitable in their ventures!
Thank you for supporting this event and helping us develop the entrepreneurs of tomorrow’s world.

APPLICATION PROCESS
If you would like to attend North Point, the application process is as follows:
Step 1: PERSONAL INTERVIEW
At this point, we presume you have attended one of our Open Houses or a Personal School Tour. We then conduct an interview with both the prospective student and parent(s) to confirm this is the correct fit for everyone involved. If you have not yet attended this interview, please do so BEFORE submitting this Application for Admission. Prospective students should attend a school Shadow Day.
Step 2: APPLICATION
Application for Admission packages submitted MUST include the completed documents and attachments to ensure a successful student enrolment at North Point School for Boys. A checklist is provided for your reference only and does not need to be submitted as part of the submitted package.
Step 3: FINAL ASSESSMENT AND ACCEPTANCE
Once we have received your application, we review the documentation, the personal interview and shadow day (if applicable). Parents are notified by phone and in writing of acceptance. Upon acceptance, parents are invited to complete the student registration and remit a deposit and the remaining tuition fees are due in accordance with the fee schedule.
