Highlights from the interview

  • What also really stands out to me is how the school is always developing and adding new courses to the curriculum, which really shows its dedication to providing high-quality education that prepares students for their future studies.

  • What I appreciate most about BSS is definitely the wonderful support system. BSS has incredibly supportive teachers who are really willing to do a lot to help students succeed.

  • I think BSS really values helping every student become the best version of themselves, not just academically but also as a person. It really values curiosity, community, and giving back. Everyone is encouraged to work hard, but also to explore and try new things, tackle challenges, and support those around them.

  • I would describe the school leadership team as very approachable and very invested in the student experience. They really take the time to listen to what students have to say, whether it’s ideas, concerns, or feedback, and they make students feel like their voice matters.

  • I would describe BSS’s approach to academics as well-rounded and dedicated. There's a wide range of courses to choose from, whether in math, sciences, or languages, so students can really tailor their studies to their interests. For students who want to go further, there’s a great selection of AP courses.

  • I would describe BSS’s approach to extracurriculars as very diverse, inclusive, and full of opportunities to try new things. There's always a wide range of options in both the arts and athletics, so there’s truly something for everyone.

  • I would describe the teachers at BSS as very dedicated, supportive, and passionate about what they teach. They take the time to get to know every student, understand how each student learns best, and help students reach their full potential. Many of them go above and beyond, whether it's offering extra help after class or creating unique opportunities.

  • There's a shared drive to do their best, but also a willingness to support and cheer each other on. That combination of dedication, determination, and spirit is something that really defines the student body at BSS.

  • Students are encouraged to get involved in many different areas, which makes it really fun and easy to connect with people across grades and interests. It creates an energy where everyone feels like they're part of the same large community, and that's something really special.

  • My experiences with the alumni community have been incredibly positive. There are so many events that give me the chance to connect and reconnect with girls from not only my graduating class but also other graduating years. Those conversations have always been inspiring and rewarding.

  • I remember her saying how helpful and supportive the admissions and recruiting team was throughout, and how they made the experience feel welcoming rather than stressful. That gave us a very positive first impression of BSS.
