"At V3, learning happens both in the classroom and in competition. Grade 9-12 students from more than 12 countries combine OSSD academics with elite basketball through a 4+4 learning model. In the past 6 months, V3 teams have captured 5 league and tournament championships. Since our founding, more than 20 student-athletes have advanced to the NCAA, JUCO and professional basketball opportunities. Each student is paired with a dedicated teacher to support academic success, university planning, and athletic progress"
At V3, education extends far beyond the classroom. Rather than a traditional 6 hour classroom model, we follow a 4+4 learning approach that combines 4 hours of academics with 4 hours of skill development through athletics, leadership, arts, and project-based learning.
We believe students learn best by applying knowledge in real-world situations. Whether competing on the court, collaborating on academic projects, or tackling real-world challenges, students develop confidence, resilience, and teamwork through action, not observation.
Our philosophy is built around "We > Me." Students from more than 12 countries learn, train, travel, and grow together in a diverse community where different cultures and perspectives shape everyday learning.
Our role is not to define success for students, but to help them build a path toward it. Through competition, collaboration, and experiences across North America, we help students pave the way for university, athletics, and life beyond the classroom.
At V3, success is not defined by the number of activities listed on a résumé. Students are encouraged to explore different interests, but the goal is to leave with a clear sense of direction and a deeper understanding of what truly motivates them.
This approach shapes how time and resources are allocated. Rather than offering endless options, students are encouraged to commit to a smaller number of meaningful pursuits and develop them with consistency over time. Whether in athletics, academics, arts, technology, or leadership, the focus is placed on depth rather than participation alone.
University, careers, and life rarely come with constant reminders. The 4+4 learning model reflects this philosophy, giving students greater flexibility—and greater responsibility—for their own progress. The goal is not simply to keep students busy, but to help them leave with purpose, the confidence to take ownership of their future, and the independence to pursue it.

Students who thrive at V3 are not necessarily those who already have all the answers, but those who remain curious enough to keep asking questions and humble enough to keep learning. They are willing to explore new interests, embrace challenges, and pursue growth beyond their comfort zones.
The strongest fit is often a student who is eager to discover what truly motivates them. Some arrive with clear goals, while others are still exploring. What they share is a desire to develop their interests with depth rather than simply collecting experiences or achievements.
Families who get the most out of V3 understand that growth is rarely a straight line. They value character as much as achievement, encourage independence alongside support, and recognize that meaningful learning often happens through challenges, relationships, competition, and real-world experiences.
They see education not simply as preparation for the next test, but as preparation for life.
V3 may not be the right fit for families seeking a single definition of success. Students arrive with different strengths, interests, and aspirations. Some pursue NCAA athletics, some continue into professional sports, while others move on to engineering, business, or other academic fields. Success is not measured by reaching the same destination, but by discovering a path that aligns with each student's abilities, interests, and goals.
While networking can open doors, meaningful relationships help shape who students become. Education is shaped not only by what students learn, but also by who they learn with. The relationships built with teammates, teachers, mentors, and peers from around the world often have as much impact as any course, credential, or achievement.
At V3, learning is not only about achievement, but also about helping them understand who they are, who they want to become, and the kind of people they want to grow alongside.

A community where students are challenged, supported, and genuinely known—not just enrolled.
Many schools are remembered for their programs. V3 is often remembered for its people. Students may arrive from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds, but they become part of a community that extends far beyond graduation.
V3 alumni regularly return to share their university experiences, mentor younger athletes, support school initiatives, and remain involved in the growth of the community. While graduates may continue their journeys across Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and beyond, many continue to stay connected to the people and values that shaped their experience at V3.
In the public eye, V3 is often seen not simply as a school, but as a community where relationships endure, students are known as individuals, and success is shared across generations of students, coaches, teachers, and alumni.

Recent developments at V3 have focused on creating more opportunities for students to experience, not just observe. As students prepare for life after graduation, increasing emphasis has been placed on helping them connect their academic, athletic, and personal interests to a clearer sense of direction. This includes support for SAT preparation, ESL tutoring, AP assistance, scholarship opportunities, and post-secondary planning.
Students are also being exposed to a wider range of experiences and perspectives. During the past season, V3 teams competed in more than 40 games across North America and captured 5 league and tournament championships across 3 age groups.
As V3 continues to grow, the focus remains the same: helping students move beyond preparation and actively engage with the experiences, challenges, and opportunities that help shape their future.
Over the next five years, V3's goal is not simply to become a larger school, but a more impactful one.
Rather than focusing on a single definition of success, V3 will continue developing meaningful pathways that support a wide range of student goals. Whether students pursue university academics, athletics, professional opportunities, entrepreneurship, or other future ambitions, our focus will remain on helping each student discover and build a path that is uniquely their own.
We also envision creating more opportunities for students to participate, not just prepare. Through competition, travel, leadership experiences, mentorship, and international connections, students will continue to engage with challenges and opportunities.
As our community grows, so will the diversity of perspectives, experiences, and opportunities available to students. The future of V3 is not defined by a particular destination, but by continuing to help students find theirs.
