Mayor Jim Watson With The City's Youngest Maker

VINCI School Ottawa participated Canada's largest Maker Faire on Nov 7-8 at the Lansdowne Park. As the only school showcasing projects from children as young as 2 years old, VINCI School attracted over 250 families during the 2 day event. Parents were amazed at the 2nd grader's Waste Recycling Factory, where sensors, motors and Lego blocks were integrated to run with software codes. Toddlers had fun building rice craspy robots or playing with programmable robots which trace their drawings.

Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson was one of the visitors who took picture with the school's Founding Principal Dr Dan D Yang as well as the school's 2 year-old Miss Little Engineer. Dr Dan as Ottawa's most inventive woman authored over 20 patent inventions in software, optical networking and early childhood learning diagnosis, before founding VINCI School.

VINCI School curriculum combines the world most-proven pedagogies to formulate its own, driven by technology. Students learn happily using a variety of tools and resources such as Montessori, Creative Learning Centers, and online tools such as EPGY Math and Writing from Stanford University.
