(5) Student Experience
FieldStone is great. My 4-year-old daughter has been on her learning journey since September 2025. She has turned into a confident girl and shows her eagerness and happiness in learning. She is able to explore French, Geography, musical instruments, and Science in her JK. We once thought it was too early to learn, but she is actually doing really well. Kids at this age are like a sponge - good at catching every drop of content. This is simply a golden time for them to build on their deep interest in learning. Now she initiates her learning through reading every day and sometimes explores a YouTube channel (only for abstract concepts) with me. She loves learning. There are also lots of field trips (~one per month in these months), and many extra-curricular activities/skills & workshops for students to join. There are different types of showcases (music / cultural...). Students at different levels come together to learn; these opportunities are valuable. Teachers here are amazing. My daughter learns happily in every lesson through playing, and is always able to tell what she has learnt. At home, we are always teaching her. But kids are somehow learning better from places outside home, so teachers and a good learning environment are actually extremely important to their growth. In JK, teachers lead small-group classes and know each student well. Every week, parents can update the learning content for each subject, which helps me understand what she is learning and how I can help boost it. I will say FieldStone School is always her best place to learn - a friendly and supportive learning environment. And I believe your kids will enjoy it too.
Why Fieldstone School?
We did some other private school visits before. We chose Fieldstone for its large campus and academic program. We want our child to learn more at her age and explore her interests.
Expectations vs. Reality
The contents that my kid is learning match and even exceed my expectations. But she is good and able to learn & tell. There are also many chances for all students to explore - different workshops / activities / sport groups / music and cultural showcases. This is wonderful.
Your Advice
The school campus is large with facilities supporting. School head and teachers are supportive, friendly and good at teaching. They teach effectively and provide a range of opportunities for all their students to explore. They are not shaping/moulding every student, but instead guiding them to glow and shine. This is the best school in Ontario (I believe), and I will definitely let my daughter finish her whole school life here.
