(4.5) Student Experience
Our child has had a very positive and meaningful experience at Fieldstone School. From the beginning, the teachers and staff have been welcoming, supportive, and truly invested in each student’s success. The small class sizes make a big difference, as our child feels comfortable participating, asking questions, and building strong relationships with both classmates and teachers. The academic program is challenging but well-balanced, encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and independence. Our child especially enjoys the collaborative projects and the strong sense of community within the school. The friendly and respectful environment has helped build confidence and a genuine love of learning. At times, the workload can feel demanding, but we understand that this reflects the school’s high standards and commitment to excellence. We also appreciate the regular communication between teachers and parents. It helps us stay involved and informed about our child’s progress. The extracurricular opportunities have allowed our child to explore new interests and develop new skills. Overall, we are very pleased with our child’s growth, both academically and personally, and we appreciate the positive impact the school has had on our family.
Why Fieldstone School?
We chose Fieldstone School for its strong academics, small class sizes, and supportive community. While we considered other schools, Fieldstone’s balanced focus on academic excellence, character development, and individualized attention ultimately made it the best fit for our child and family.
Expectations vs. Reality
The school aligned with our expectations in its strong academic standards, supportive teachers, and welcoming community. We hoped for a place where our child would be both challenged and supported, and that has certainly been our experience. The small class sizes and individualized attention have met, and even exceeded, what we were looking for in terms of personal growth and confidence building.
Your Advice
I would tell a parent considering this school that it is a place where children are truly known, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential. My advice would be to be prepared for strong academic expectations, as the school encourages independence and responsibility from an early stage. Stay involved, communicate openly with teachers, and support your child in managing their workload. If you value a close-knit community, individualized attention, and a balance between academic growth and character development, this school can be an excellent fit.
(4) School Leadership
The leadership and administration are professional, approachable, and genuinely supportive, creating a welcoming and positive environment for students. They handle problems and discipline matters fairly and thoughtfully, focusing on learning and growth. Communication with both students and parents is clear, timely, and transparent, which helps families feel informed and involved. Overall, the administration sets a strong example and contributes greatly to the school’s culture of respect, accountability, and encouragement.
(4) Teaching
Overall, we are very pleased with the quality of instruction and the dedication of the teachers. They are knowledgeable, passionate about their subjects, and genuinely invested in supporting each student’s learning and growth. Communication is clear, and feedback is constructive, helping students understand their strengths and areas for improvement. Our child receives both academic challenges and the individualized support needed to succeed, which encourages critical thinking, creativity, and independence. The teachers foster a positive and engaging classroom environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. While there is always room for continued innovation and enrichment, the teaching at Fieldstone School has significantly contributed to our child’s confidence, motivation, and overall academic development.
