Micah Powell (USA), a top graduate from the class of 2023, received acceptances to many different universities such as Toronto Metropolitan University, University of North Dakota, Liberty University, Embry Riddle, and Bowling Green State University to study in the field of Aviation. He chose to study Professional Pilot and Aerospace Technology at Kansas State University, where he received over $100,000 USD in scholarships. Micah also received the Tim and Sandi Cober Memorial scholarship for a student who is a genuinely compassionate person, cares deeply for others, demonstrates a desire to serve God at NCC and beyond, and whose academic achievements are commensurate with their potential.
Zahide Çam (Turkey), from the class of 2023, moved on to the Bachelor of Arts program at Acadia University to study Women’s and Gender Studies with a minor in Philosophy. She is 2023's Duodecimus winner, which is the highest honour given to an NCC graduate for their contribution to the total life of NCC. She was also the 2023 Valedictorian, chosen for both academic performance and overall contribution to school life. While maintaining a high level of involvement, Zahide achieved an average of over 94% during her 2 years at NCC, making her 2023's Grade 12 Proficiency Award winner for outstanding academic performance, significant contribution to school life, and support for the ideals of NCC.
