After attending a summer performance of Peter Pan, my daughter was instantly drawn to the opportunity to explore performance and creative arts further and after reading some reviews we signed her up. The final production was held on a large stage which allowed friends and family to share the experience and really exceeded our expectations. Thank you Artsies for offering us such a unique, professional, and rewarding experience for my daughter and other performers who are looking to embrace their creativity and talent.
After exploring several different performance programs, we found that ARTSies was the best fit for our daughter is explore her abilities as a performer. We were constantly impressed with Libby and Joey's passion, creativity, and attention to detail. Everything from responding to script details to helping her develop her character was done promptly and professionally.
A true measure of a great program is its ability to engage a wide range of people, young and old. ARTSies programs always offer unique and dynamic opportunities to perform far beyond simply memorizing lines. They really embrace the idea of characterization and allow one to formulate their own unique, dynamic, and exciting take on the characters their students take on.
Artsies emphasizes team building and is highly inclusive. Often you will see classmates cheering each other on and helping each other through difficult situations. There is little to no competitiveness because the staff allows each student to shine at their own level, interest, and ability. Our daughter has formed a number of friendships and shares her passion for performance with the other students.
Our daughter has always enjoyed the opportunity to perform but Artsies really gave her the tools, confidence, and platform to grow as a performer. When challenged the staff are always there to help them find effective solutions. My daughter has explored several unique characters that she never would have had without their support and encouragement. Through these experiences, she has found a tremendous level of pride and self-confidence.
The staff are an integral part of the success of ARTSies. Libby and Joey do a phenomenal job of communicating, coordinating, and organizing the program from start to finish. They are always available for questions or concerns and put a lot of attention to student and parent attention and care.
It’s well worth the time and effort to check out one of the performances. It really showcases what you and your child would expect from signing up. Even if your child isn’t ready for the front row, there are plenty of other roles and opportunities for your child to shine in their own way. The self-confidence and work ethic that ARTSies has taught my daughter is equally impressive as the performances.
