This program is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Curiosity: Love of learning. Intellectual engagement. Enthusiasm for experiencing the world. Proclivity to develop passions and interests.
  • Resilience: Ability to handle setbacks and adversity—to maintain an optimistic, proactive orientation when under duress. Willingness to take on challenges.

Grades 1-8 – 1x per week – July AND/OR Aug.

The Grades 1-8 Chess workshop provides students with an opportunity to hone their chess-skills. In this workshop, our students will be mentored by a chess expert to learn the basics of play, tactics and composure. Culminating in a chess pizza-party, graduates of this chess workshop will be eager to hone their newfound talents and become strategic masterminds!
