Camp Argo is an exciting, unique, sports-focused, multi-activity kids’ camp built around rowing. The setting is the Argonaut Rowing Club, over 150 years old; tradition and experience matter. Kids 11 to 16 learn teamwork and have a lot of fun, gaining firsthand experience with skills like coxswaining, sculling, and other rowing strokes. Typical camp days include two on-water sessions, along with workouts, and traditional camp activities like crafts, field sports, and games. It’s well-suited to beginners, but campers love to return yearly, get better, and refine their skills. You’ll learn rowing terms, balance, sportsmanship, water safety, and the rhythm of crew-rowing. Camp Argo’s approach includes professional supervision throughout activities, diligence in safety precautions, and the finest equipment. Kids develop strength, self-confidence, technical knowledge, and both rowing and interpersonal skills.
