Simpresca is a fun summer getaway for kids from across the province, a traditional summer camp where kids disconnect (get liberated, that is) from technology, feel freer, and become more independent. Founded on strong principles—it’s a not-for-profit rooted in the United Church, and still supported by a local congregation—this camp has become a part of many kids’ lives, over seven plus decades of operation. The camp has access to the Georgian Bay beachfront, on a forested property where kids live a rustic, fun lifestyle. Activities range from zip line games to crafting to performance in plays and talent shows. Its ideal location near towns like Midland and Penetanguishene makes it a safe choice for GTA parents. It’s a vibrant, youthful—and affordable—overnight camp that gives kids a unique chance to break out of the ordinary.
