This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Curiosity: Through hands-on experiments, campers will be encouraged to ask questions and explore their surroundings, leading to a greater sense of wonder and curiosity about the world around them.
  • Creativity: Campers are encouraged to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions to problems. By conducting hands-on experiments and exploring the natural world, campers are challenged to use their imaginations and find creative ways to solve complex problems related to the environment.

In this activity campers will begin by observing the behavior of many falling objects to learn the basics of gravity, air resistance and energy. Later in the week, campers will use what they have learned to design and make a device to help an egg survive a fall from a great height.  Good for little scientists or artists as we aim to combine scientific principles with creativity and design. 

*Students will be using simple construction materials: scissors, glue, tape, cardboard etc.
