Circle Square Ranch Scholarship Program
Amount: 80% | Deadline: June 01, 2021 annually |
InterVarstiy Circle Square Ranch Grand River was founded in the 1970s as a program of Crossroads Christian Communications TV program, Circle Square. The popularity of the show created an initial interest in the camp programs, though in time the quality of the camps themselves were the draw independent of it. In 2011 Circle Square was bought by InterVarsity, becoming one of nine camps that organization runs across the country. Begun 1929, the InterVarsity camps contribute to the goal of creating unique opportunities to bring young people together around the personal challenges that a camp setting can provide. At camp kids unplug and turn their attention to the community they find there. The activities facilitate a greater understanding of campers’ talents and abilities, as well as the Christian values that inform the programming. The equestrian programs at Circle Square date back to the camp’s founding four decades ago; as strong as ever, they are a particular draw for many of the families that enrol here.

I think it's fun how its Ranch themed instead of regular wilderness themed camps and how it revolves around horses, Jesus, and god.
[she] said her favourite thing about her first time ( won’t be the last ) at junior sleepover camp was “everything, especially the time she spent with the horses.”

Is it smuck the staff or schmuck the staff?
Either way, Circle Square Ranch staff and volunteers have been getting whip cream pies to the face every week for the last three decades.
It's always a highlight of the week when campers play an elaborate game of hide and seek with the staff. The sounds of laughter, squeals of delight, and campers asking each other, "Did you catch anyone?" can be heard all over the campground.
The staff are good sports, and at least 20 get a whip cream pie to the face every week.
It's definitely a camp favourite....now we just have to figure out what it's called.
It's our birthday! 35 years and 20,000 + campers!
Founded in 1985, Brantford Circle Square Ranch is part of a network of nine Inter-Varsity Camps across Canada.
Over the past 35 years, we have welcomed more than 20,000 + campers to our 135 acres of beautiful, rolling countryside in southern Ontario. We offer many activities including horseback riding, swimming, high ropes and zip line, archery, skateboarding, campfires and Bible studies.
During the summer months, we offer both residential and day camps for children and youth between the ages of 5 and 16. In this camp community, where leadership and faith development is encouraged, children and youth are comfortable asking tough questions about life and faith. We believe that faith in Jesus Christ and an understanding of God’s love leads to a life full of purpose and meaning.
Camp is a fun and safe place for campers to make new friends, experience new things, develop skills and challenge themselves to grow and change. We promise, it will be the highlight of their summer.
