This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Responsibility: Through exposure to the natural landscape at Claireville, Campers become familiar with the importance of caring for the land and the planet. Responsibility is expressed in the camper’s desire to take action and help.
  • Curiosity: Campers are encouraged to explore the local flora and fauna of Claireville Conservation Area, leading to a sparked interest and curiosity of the natural world.

Insects, frogs, and salamaders… oh my! Campers will learn about the small but mighty animals that live among us! Using tools like dipnets and magnifying glasses we’ll take a closer look and gain a new appreciation for their incredible diversity and amazing adaptations
