Whether online or in person, the Do Re Mi curriculum is designed to provide your child with a well-rounded music education.
In addition to learning to play the piano, students will develop the ability to keep a steady beat, play and harmonize by ear, improvise, compose, as well as develop the ability to listen and to play in an ensemble. Students will learn to read music, with an emphasis on both melody and rhythm and will gain a solid foundation in both music theory and history.
Class meets once a week for a full hour. Each class is packed with a variety of activities, with no time to get bored! There are games to work on note and rhythm reading, movement and singing activities, individual and ensemble playing opportunities, and so much more. Whether you're in-person or online, all activities are done together with a parent or caregiver so that the fun can continue at home during the week.
