Junior Program: Grades 5, 6, or 7

Maximum City is an award-winning spring and summer program and enriched curricular experience for young city builders in grades 4-7 (Junior Camp) and 8-12 (Senior Camp), operating since 2011. It is taught by leading experts and is hosted on the University of Toronto campus and nearby sites. The program includes a range of hands-on activities in urban topics such as architecture, design, the environment, technology, the arts, civic engagement and mobility. The program culminates in a design challenge which asks students to collaborate on a real-life problem in our urban environment and present their solutions to a panel of experts and decision-makers. Each week at Maximum City focuses on a different urban theme such as designing better public spaces or welcoming newcomers; students are encouraged to sign up for single or multiple weeks as each theme is a stand-alone topic. For more information visit the Maximum City website.

Program spots will be filled on an ongoing admissions basis. Please register early to avoid disappointment. There is a limited number of scholarships available for those who qualify based on financial need; please email [email protected] for more details.

Please note that Maximum City will take place at 55 St. George Street for the summer.
