About InterVarsity Circle Square Ranch Halkirk
We invite youth ages 6-17 into an adventure-packed week at our horseback riding ranch. Campers try a range of activities in addition to riding lessons, such as swimming, climbing, archery and hiking, alongside chances to explore their faith. Dear Ranch Families! We are moving forward with hope that we will be able offer summer camp in 2022. While we do not yet know exactly what that will look like, we want you to know what you can expect from us. We thoroughly enjoyed having our campers back last summer and are committed to doing everything we can to ensure camp is a safe, fun-filled and wonderful place for them to return to this year. Be assured that safety is our top priority, as it always is when it comes to caring for campers. We will be following all precautions and guidelines that government and health authorities set for us. As you know, these guidelines sometimes change and so we ask for your patience as we respond as efficiently as possible.
Over the past year, we have reviewed our site and programs and implemented appropriate protocols that meet or exceed public health requirements. We have paid particular attention to dining areas, bathrooms and sleeping quarters. We are setting up spaces and planning programs in a way that still allows campers to experience the community, activities and joy of camp. It is so important for campers to experience the breadth of freedom being at camp offers them. We hope they will experience a week free from anxieties. We have also readjusted our programming to provide us adequate time between camps to disinfect. We have already started registering for summer 2022 and camps are filling fast, so we encourage you to register soon.

The Our Kids review of InterVarsity Circle Square Ranch Halkirk
The Circle Square Ranch camps were founded in the 1970s as a program of Crossroads Christian Communications TV program, Circle Square. The popularity of the show created an initial interest in the camp programs, though in time the quality of the camps themselves were the draw independent of it. In 2011 Circle Square Ranch Halkirk was bought by InterVarsity, becoming one of nine camps that organization runs across the country. Begun 1929, the InterVarsity camps contribute to the goal of creating unique opportunities to bring young people together around the personal challenges that a camp setting can provide. At camp kids unplug and turn their attention to the community they find there. The activities facilitate a greater understanding of campers’ talents and abilities, as well as the Christian values that inform the programming. The equestrian programs at Circle Square date back to the camp’s founding four decades ago; as strong as ever, they are a particular draw, including the weekly rodeo event, for many of the families that enrol here.

More details about accommodations: With an "old western" exterior, our Western Town building is open year round and has a capacity of 116 as well as guest rooms, the General Store, the games room and dining hall. The Pathway building has 8 cabins, it's own kitchen and other amenities. We also have a recreation building including a gym with an indoor climbing wall, a barn with an outdoor riding arena, swimming pool, archery range, campfire sites, skate park, high ropes course, sports fields, riflery range, pond with canoes and wooded trails.
