This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Curiosity: Campers will discover the culture of bees and their importance to human life. Crafts, stories, and activities will support camper learning and encourage them to discover more.
  • Physicality: Like the bees from our theme, campers will be on the move throughout the day. Irish dancing is physical and fun. Rooted in rhythm, campers will come away tapping their feet and moving their bodies!

Bees (and other pollinators) are essential to life.  In ancient Ireland, bees were revered as a source of life and wellness. Buzzing Bees Campers will learn about bees through crafts and stories.  The day starts with rhythm lessons and a brain-based warm-up.  Then we dive into dance, music, and games.  Each afternoon, campers will participate in ukulele lessons and make a bee-themed craft.
