This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

Independence: This guitar camp promotes independence by encouraging campers to practice on their own, learn songs and techniques individually, make musical choices, and take responsibility for contributing to ensemble performances.
Interpersonal skills: This camp promotes interpersonal skills by having campers play in ensembles, collaborate on songs, share feedback, support each other, and work together, building teamwork, communication, and friendships.

Want to try out the guitar? Come join us for a week of beginner guitar! Campers will focus on the basics of note reading and guitar technique, as well as playing guitar as an ensemble with their first few songs. Team building activities are encouraged to promote friendship and fun. There will typically be 1 hour of outdoor play per day, weather permitting. Show off your progress during the final performance at the end of the week!

Already tried our guitar camp last summer? Register for Guitar Camp 2.0 and be placed in a group of more experienced campers to learn more challenging songs.

*Including Civic Monday

Prerequisites:

Camper must provide their own guitar (rent or purchase)

Guitar picks are also highly recommended.

No experience required for the beginner camp
