THE #1 ACADEMY IN THE OTTAWA GATINEAU AREA. 2023/2024

My goal has always been to enable every player to maximize his or her potential while building all the right techniques and allowing the player to develop their style. My goal is to provide our juniors with world-class coaching and training, which will allow them to get the most out of their tennis. Become a city, provincial or national champion, get a tennis scholarship to the US, and play with the best in the world.

Our vision is to build a true lifetime sport and education project for student-athletes. Our tennis study program will enable our students to combine intensive training sessions and tournaments with an adapted school curriculum.

Mandatory Selection Tryouts:

Being selected to join our Academy is dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, motivation, general attitude, and tennis level.

FOLLOW THE SELECTION PROCESS

We will consider the following in assessing your profile:

• Tennis tests (technical, tactical, and mental)
• Fitness tests
• Academic (finding out if eligible)
• Interview with student + Meeting with parents

ELIGIBILITY

• Students must maintain a C+ average
• Ability to withstand significant physical training
• School & Sports level allowing the student to target entrance (grade 5+)
• Personal motivation and dedication to the project

All applications must be received no later than September 1.

Our school is for students who are serious about their studies and who can manage to travel while maintaining their marks at the same time.

TENNIS TRAINING 3:30-5:30 pm Monday-Friday at Tennis Centre West Ottawa. Choose from 2-5 practices per week.

Work on techniques and practice consistency with our state-of-the-art Ball Machine

Replay video screening and analysis + Individual training: optional
PHYSICAL

• Take home Fitness plans for each player
• Physical tests 3 times per year
• Individual preparation: proper warm-up, cool down, stretching

TOURNAMENTS

• Preparing for matches
• Individualized Tournament planning and scheduling
• Play 10+ tournaments per year
• Online and/or onsite regular debriefing

MENTAL

• Periodic mental coaching Workshops

PHASE 1 SEPTEMBER – OCTOBER

Every player is personally assessed and will begin the season having a plan to reduce the risk of injury.
