Baseball Speciality Program at Camp Zodiac in Toronto

NEW for Summer 2019! Offered in Session 4 (July 22-26), Zodiac campers will have the ultimate baseball experience under the direction of Field of Dreams Baseball Camp (FOD), the GTA’s Premier Baseball Program for all ages and skill levels. Baseball specialty campers will enjoy high level instruction, fun and challenging drills, and an opportunity to put their skills into action in exciting baseball games.

Zodiac Day Camp is a private, co-ed day camp, located at a beautiful indoor/outdoor location in midtown Toronto (Leo Baeck Day School at 501 Arlington Avenue, near Allen & Eglinton). Zodiac Day Camp offers busing (from all over the GTA, not just Toronto), lunch options, a free extended care program, and a daily Zodiac Swim School instructional swim lesson, as well as a variety of many other camp activities. They also offer a FREE taste of overnight camp at their other camp, Camp Tamarack for Zodiac campers SK to Gr. 4.

Why Is Our Specialty Program at Camp Zodiac so Amazing? It allows us at FOD to reach campers in the Toronto area and bring our amazing baseball camp to many more children in the GTA! It also allows us to specialize in our area of expertise, BASEBALL, while giving campers a wide variety of other amazing Zodiactivities throughout the week! This is the perfect mix of baseball and other camp activities.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like? There are 6 exciting periods per day (plus lunch) which include:

• 3 periods per day of baseball run by our FOD trained staff
• 2 periods per day of a variety of other Zodiactivities (activities differ each day, ranging from Archery, computers, cooking, karaoke, magic, rock climbing, other sports, outdoor adventures etc!)
• 1 period per day of high-quality, low-ratio Zodiac Swim School lesson

Baseball Specialty at Camp Zodiac:

• Age and skill-level appropriate instruction and drills in fundamentals such as: hitting, catching, fielding, throwing and pitching
• Specialty staff are passionate instructors with expertise in playing, coaching, teaching, and providing campers with the FOD camp experience
• Positive environment for campers to learn, grow, improve, and continue to develop their love for the game
• All campers will have an opportunity to participate in live games/scrimmages as well as the camper favourite “FOD wiffle ball league” with drafted teams, statistics and standings
• “Choose your specialty day” gives campers an opportunity to choose the skill in which they want additional training/development
• End of week skills competitions, along with an award ceremony and prizes
