Budding young scientists will enjoy YorkU's Science Saturdays

Offered by Science Engagement Programs at York University, York Science Saturdays returns Oct. 13 with a new and interesting series of programs. Using an interactive, hands-on approach to learning, students in Grades 3 to 8 explore hot topics in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Programs are separated into Junior (grades 3/4/5) and Senior (grades 6/7/8) sections and will run during the following dates. Students may sign up for multiple programs or only one program at a time. Classes are limited to 20 students, so register early!

The winter 2019 programs offered are:

Session 1: Jan 12, 19, and 26

Morning: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

• Code with Kids! Machine Learning (Grade 6/7/8)

Afternoon: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

• Code with Kids! Arduino (Grade 3/4/5)
• Science Variety Pack (Grade 6/7/8)
