This is a perfect chance for kids aged 6-14 to develop essential skills in a fun, engaging environment. From March 16 to March 20, our North York Campus will be buzzing with creativity and excitement, and we invite you to enroll your child in an experience they’ll cherish long after camp ends.

At Power of Words Academy, we understand the importance of fostering creativity and communication skills in young learners. Our camps are designed with this in mind, offering dynamic programs that encourage self-expression and collaboration. With a low teacher-camper ratio of 1:6, your child will receive personalized attention and guidance from our experienced counsellors, ensuring they thrive in a supportive atmosphere.

Camp Offerings:

Creative Writing (Ages 6-14) | 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
In our Creative Writing camp, children will have the unique opportunity to explore their imagination, generate ideas, and craft their own stories. Guided by our skilled counsellors, campers will navigate the entire writing process—from brainstorming themes and content to the planning, writing, and editing stages. This hands-on approach not only helps students develop their narrative skills but also enhances their ability to express their thoughts clearly and creatively.
At the end of the session, every camper will receive both digital and print copies of their published work, providing a tangible way to celebrate their achievements. This experience not only boosts their writing capabilities but also instills a sense of pride and accomplishment, fostering a love for storytelling that lasts a lifetime.

Drama Using Tech (Ages 6-14) | 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Our Drama Using Tech program focuses on building confidence and essential skills such as public speaking, leadership, teamwork, and collaboration. Campers will engage in storytelling and role-playing activities while working as a group to create a talk show or documentary on a topic that excites them. With the help of cutting-edge technology, they will record green-screen videos, learning to edit and produce their projects.
This program aims to develop not only verbal communication skills but also technical skills in video production, allowing campers to explore different facets of creativity. By the end of the week, each child will receive digital copies of their productions, leaving them with a memorable keepsake of their hard work.

Debate (Ages 10-14) | 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
For campers aged 10-14, our Debate Camp empowers students to articulate their ideas, engage with diverse viewpoints, and develop critical thinking skills. Through interactive challenges and impromptu public speaking games, campers will learn to advocate for their opinions and respond thoughtfully to arguments.
Every day will include team debate rounds where participants receive constructive feedback from counsellors to enhance their speaking abilities and build resilience. This camp is perfect for aspiring debaters, whether they are shy and seeking to build confidence or already confident speakers looking to sharpen their skills. Our counselors create a supportive environment that encourages growth and expression.

Extended Camp Care Information
Before and after camp care is available for $50 per week or $10 per day. Extended hours run from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or e-transfer on the first day of camp. No prior notice is needed for extended care payments.
