Find a Camp
Each year, the Canadian Student Debating Federation selects the members of the Canadian team to attend the World Schools Championships. The selection process involves workshops on the Worlds style of debate, at least six debate rounds, submission of a resume and an interview process. Each member province may send up to three students to the Selection Tournament.
Joining a long list of former FDT students who have gone on to represent Canada on the prestigious National Debate Team are our very own Alex Logan and Emily Ni. They have been selected to join the elite squad these year. The road to Team Canada is incredibly difficult with students having to be chosen from among the best debaters in the province and then compete and be chosen from the top debaters in the country. We are so proud of Alex and Emily for this extraordinary achievement!
