The Maximum City summer programs offer a unique, hands-on learning experience to students from schools across the Greater Toronto Area. Students work together with leading experts in architecture, design, transit, and civic engagement to tackle real-life citybuilding and sustainability challenges through site visits, charrettes, and modelling activities. Maximum City believes that young people can be key contributors to the understanding and shaping of our urbanizing world. They are creative risk takers, have fresh ideas, and are eager to join the conversation about how to live sustainably in our first urban century. Read the Toronto Star story that describes a Maximum City budgeting exercise. The activity was undertaken by summer program students at UTS.
