With a 25-year history of teaching soccer, Power Soccer School of Excellence is one of Canada’s leading soccer schools. Its enthusiastic and skilled coaches make this school what it is—a place where kids learn soccer skills but also have tons of fun. At Power Soccer, kids as young as four aren’t just kicking a ball around. They learn how to control the ball, pass, position themselves, and score. The low player-to-coach ratio ensures all kids get an equal chance to play and learn, regardless of their skill level coming into the program. Kids here stay for the long term, with players and coaches developing deep interpersonal relationships that endure even once kids move on to university or college. Even though the games are competitive, everyone has a good time and is supportive of one another. The end-of-year “coaches vs. players match” is a favourite with everyone, and only serves to bolster the tight-knit atmosphere. Older players mentor younger ones, which helps develop leadership and coaching skills in the older kids. Kids at Power Soccer gain confidence, hone their skills, and grow in unexpected ways.
