Connections Engineering Outreach and the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science are offering these intermediate sessions of QSEA to inspire and engage the next generation of scientists and engineers.
This program presents students with an overview of engineering using age-appropriate, and thought-provoking projects to inform and engage students without being technically overwhelming. Participants will participate in activities that promote collaboration, leadership, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.
Please find more information about our course offerings below:
Interstellar Innovators (for grades 7-8): For young minds fascinated by space engineering, come and explore the cosmos with us! Campers will dive into the complexities of aerospace technology through hands-on activities with virtual reality, robotics, and coding. Join us to ignite a passion for space exploration while honing critical thinking and engineering skills!
RoboBuilders (for grades 7-8): An interactive experience for students eager to explore the innovative field of robotics and coding! Campers will collaborate using technology, such as Lego Spike and Micro:bit, to solve real world engineering challenges.
Structural Marvels (for grades 7-8): Embark on an interactive journey to discover the engineering principles behind the structures in our world. Through engaging activities and challenges, campers will implement the engineering design process to plan, create, and test unique designs including towers, bridges, boats, and virtual reality environments.
