On behalf of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Queen’s University, we would like to introduce you to Connections: Queen's Summer Engineering Academy (QSEA). This non-credit program provides an overview of Engineering in a university setting, and caters to Canadian and International high school students currently in grades 9, 10, and 11.  QSEA is available in both one-week and multiple-week versions as there are four different courses to choose from. QSEA will run in July and August of 2019 for a total of 5 weeks.  Students are supervised full-time, stay in on-campus premium residence buildings (single air-conditioned room), includes three meals per day, and evening activities.  Students also have the option to commute daily for the day program which includes lunch.

The Academy takes place on the Queen’s University campus in Kingston, Ontario where the programming runs in the same facilities where Queen’s Engineering students take their classes and labs.  The program explores several engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Geological, and Electrical-Computer Engineering. It focus on the broad concepts within each, challenging the students without being technically overwhelming.
