Get ready to explore the living world in a whole new way at The JunXion's Ecology-In-Action Nature Camp! This camp is all about seeing nature up close and understanding how it works. Campers become explorers, scientists, and observers. This week-long, age-appropriate camp introduces youth to the fascinating science of ecosystems through hands-on activities, experiments, and outdoor adventures.

One of the highlights of the week is adopting an animal — like a butterfly or ladybug — and observing its growth from larvae to adult. Because this process can take several weeks, campers who attend early in the summer will be invited back for a special release day to watch their “babies” be set free into the wild!

Throughout the week, campers will:

• Build a Pond Simulation – Watch firsthand how organisms interact in a mini-ecosystem.
• Experiment with Hydropower & Wind Power – Learn about renewable energy through fun, STEM-approved projects.
• Explore Food Chains & Habitats – Discover how everything in nature is connected.
• Test Water for Contaminants during their High Park field trip — after enjoying the zoo and playground, of course.

And because camp should be as fun as it is educational, the week is packed with:

• Eco & Nature VR Experiences – Explore forests, oceans, and more without leaving camp.
• Arcade Time – Fun breaks for play and friendly competition.
• Nature-Themed Arts ’n’ Crafts – Create art inspired by plants, animals, and ecosystems.
• Outdoor Activities & Friendly Sports Challenges – Stay active and enjoy the summer sun.

Each age group will enjoy different levels of participation, content, and project complexity, so the experience is always engaging, challenging, and appropriate for their stage of learning.
