Join TBGKids for interactive, educational and engaging activities in TBG’s cozy nature-themed classroom, expansive garden and the nearby ravine.
From Wild Wonderful Plants to Teeny Tiny Gardening, campers will create nature-themed art, learn about plants and animals through hands-on activities, embark on a scavenger hunt, and, of course, decorate their own pot to plant in it. Each camper ages 5-10 will create a themed craft to take home at the end of the camp day.
Monday, March 11 – Wild Wonderful Plants
Get ready to explore fascinating plants from around the world! Campers will dive into the world of plants, discover how they adapt to their special habitats, sprout seeds to tend and try at the end of the week!
Tuesday, March 12 – Nature Art
From watercolor painting along the scenic Wilket Creek to decorating their own pots for planting, campers will explore the wonders of nature and let creativity flourish as they get inspired by the natural world.
Wednesday, March 13 – Wild in the City
The Garden is home to many different wild urban animals. Campers will learn about what animals need for survival through fun outdoor activities and become animal detectives – making their own animal track identification guide and an animal track mold to take home!
Thursday, March 14 – Teeny Tiny Gardening
With a a focus on nature in miniature, campers will use their decorated pots from the nature art-themed day to make a beautiful mini garden to take home and participate in a seed-saving activity. Teeny Tiny Gardening promises a memorable and enchanting experience for campers, where big imaginations meet small gardens.
Friday, March 15 – Garden-to-Table
What better way to celebrate the end of March Break than by making delicious discoveries in the Garden? Campers will learn about plant needs, make tasty creations from delicious garden vegetables and try sprout seed recipes!
