Founded by a photojournalist, Our Kids has long had a reputation for great photography, both in print and online. From day one, the photos have been taken by some of the best photojournalists in the country. Over the past two decades the collection has grown to be perhaps the largest archive of its kind in the country.
We recently sat down to choose the best 20 photos that we’ve run, and after much discussion, have chosen the ones featured below.
Most importantly, though, isn’t the quality of any one photograph, but what, together, they show about camp. If you’ve ever wondered, here are some of the things that kids are doing when they’re away at camp each summer…
