We maintain a number of preventative measures designed to ensure a safe productive environment. For example we maintain a hand wash station on entry (kids will have access to it throughout the training). Paper Masks are worn by all coaches and kids ( I will have some extra on hand if people forget, this is in addition to fencing masks).
In addition, we have modified our programming to minimize as much as possible to minimize incidental body contact and protect social distancing.
Our, class sizes are capped (max of 10 students per class).
Their is no no sharing of gear between students each day.
Each piece of club gear will only be used by one kid per night (even if there is multiple classes) and washed between uses.
We also enforce no walk in trials for the class, each kid has to be registered beforehand.
Finally, should the overall situation in the province degrade to a point that fencing is no longer permitted by the province or the OFA (Ontario Fencing Association) classes be paused until the situation had improved.
