Pro D, Winter, Spring and Summer Break Camps (ages 3-12) include walking and driving field trips, lots of outdoor time, structured and non-structured activities.
Each of our programs ensures that children are exposed to a wide variety of activities, so that they can develop an appreciation for music, art, crafts, hiking, walking, critical thinking, board games, card games, and many other areas.
Each day combines structured time with unstructured time, to ensure that the children learn both to be creative and to follow predetermined activities.

For the littles, Block 8 Academy is a camp with a number of challenging activities to stimulate and engage young minds. There is a camp for preschoolers who want a little challenge in their lives. The goal of Block 8 Academy is to foster an appreciation for the arts, games, and nature. Both structured and unstructured time lets kids learn while having fun and charting their own paths. Instructors at Block 8 are passionate about what they do and love working with kids. Kids feel supported and trust the instructors, which is pretty important at this young age. For the older kids’ camps, the activities are also well-structured, with plenty of free time. Active indoor and outdoor activities keep kids' bodies moving, with such things like parkour and gymnastics. Guest speakers from the community are often invited in to present, giving kids great role models to look up to. Block 8 is definitely a camp that is well-rounded.
Hello Parents and Campers,
We made some great memories this past, summer, with our third summer of running camps for all 10 weeks of the break! We will do that again, and are set to add some more great memories to the stack this year.
At Block 8, we strive to give our campers a well rounded experience, combining physical, artistic, musical and lifeskill development. The focus is on fun, with a highly active program always planned. We provide our campers with opportunities to explore nature as well as indoor activities such as parkour, gymnastics, and chef school. Children are encouraged to form lasting bonds with their fellow campers and instructors. And I am available if you want to discuss your child's successes or challenges, or if you want to set up specific plans to accommodate your child.
We operate as a registered daycare, so families with support or subsidies can apply them to our camps.
Looking forward to a stellar year!
Cindy and Danita
As a registered daycare, our staff must meet Fraser Health standards, which includes training in child development, first aid certifications, and age restrictions. We hire individuals passionate about the various activities, as this is the best way to help the children get excited about what they are doing. Our team has caregivers of a variety of ages. This diversity helps ensure that the children are supported emotionally and also kept active.

More details about property: We take campers to local parks like White Pine Beach, where they enjoy the sand and hiking trails, and playgrounds like Blue Mountain where there is a wading pool and a well equipped rope climbing area. We often stop by Rocky Point Park, and use the lacrosse box at Westhill for undercover games when it is rainy.
