Who are you as an organization?

Borealis brings the best elements of camp together to deliver a truly camper-centric experience. Campers discover the joy of being outdoors, while skills like leadership, teamwork and self-reliance blossom. Our beautiful private lake, surrounded by pristine wilderness, provides the setting where campers create magical memories and form friendships that stand the test of time. With the freedom to choose from activities like swimming, canoeing, archery, out-tripping, wilderness exploration, biking, survival skills, creative arts, paddle boarding, a nature-based challenge course, plus camp staples like morning dip and campfires anchoring each day, campers experience the very best of overnight camp at Borealis Adventure Camp.

    • LGBTQ+ friendly community

What do you do differently or uniquely well?

"When it comes to our campers, our top priority is that everyone who joins us for the summer has an incredible experience, full of positive, growth filled moments that inspire and serve as a catalyst for the creation of enhanced self worth, lifelong friendships and cherished memories.

Nestled amongst the pristine wilderness of Hastings County, our site, and the intention with which we interact with it, leads to the creation of consistent joy for our campers. The uniqueness of our site enables us to provide an experience that combines the comforts of a base camp, with the adventure that ensues during a back-country canoe trip."

Who are your staff and counsellors?

"Here, campers are 100% of our focus and are genuinely cared for. Our knowledgeable and experienced staff members are not only friendly, compassionate people, they are talented mentors who instruct and inspire.

Our staff play an incredibly important role in how our camp community comes together year after year, so it's probably no surprise that we spend a ton of time identifying talented people and getting to know what makes each and every one of them a great fit with our philosophy. It's also why we go the extra mile to retain them when they continually prove their commitment to our campers.

We hire staff who are 18+, ensuring our camp families get the most mature staff team possible."

What do families need to know about registration?

"Enrollment for the coming camp season opens September 1st of each year and space will be limited.

Enrollment is detailed to ensure we get all the critical information to ensure your camper has the most success at camp, yet easy to complete through our secure CampBrain portal.

After payment of our non-refundable deposit, we offer installment plans to lessen the potential challenge of paying the entire enrollment fee in a single payment.

We welcome every camper to the Borealis family with a personal call from one of our directors, and a welcome package that will bring a smile to your campers face :)"
