
Data Management MDM4U (Grade 12)
Business, social sciences, and the humanities expect a strong background in understanding and using data to make decisions and draw conclusions. If you are considering these areas in university, Data Management is the mathematics course for you. You will learn the fundamentals of statistics and probability through the completion of two major projects; one around a group of successful people (for example, Wimbledon winners) and another around a topic of your choice that you can link to your other areas of interest. For the topic of your choice, you will use a variety of methods of representing and analyzing statistics, and present your results and conclusions to a relevant audience.
In order to take this course, it is recommended that you have earned a mark of at least 80% in Functions MCR3U.
