We had a wonderful, safe summer in 2021, and we plan on repeating that again in '22! We will continue to work with the provincial authorities, and our policies and practices will evolve as the situation necessitates. We fully comply with all provincial requirements regarding masking, physical distancing and sanitization. Our staff receive extra training in all these areas. And because so many of our activities are outdoors in our large, beautiful camp, your children can enjoy some normal, healthy interaction and fun as well. We understand this has been a tough time for everyone, but we're confident that with the appropriate precautions in place, we can and will have an awesome, safe summer season again in 2022. See you there!

The location in the heart of Muskoka couldn’t be better, and the programs, too, are at the heart of the camping tradition. The activities are a draw, though there are larger goals at play as well—the activities, as is the case at all great camps, are a means of keeping kids active as well as working together around a shared of common goals and values. At Frenda, those values are grounded in a Christian perspective, which for many families that attend is a primary draw. Year round sessions, retreats, and family camps extend the offering.

James W Rooney, Director, Camp Frenda
Hello Friends,
Thanks so much for checking out Frenda, and considering it as part of your summer plans. Frenda is a special place for thousands of people who have made memories and friendships here that last a lifetime. I'm no exception - I was a camper here about 40 years ago, and now I have the privilege of managing this incredible camp right here on Lake Rosseau. We're a Christian camp, but we welcome hundreds of children each summer, some from faith groups, and many with no church affiliation. Our policy is to be inclusive and fun, and to ensure that everyone belongs as soon as they set foot on our grounds. If you have any questions whatsoever, please don't hesitate to reach out! I commit to being personally available for anyone who would like a conversation, or is maybe a bit nervous about leaving their child with us for the first time. Whatever the case may be, I hope to see you and your family at Frenda this year!
With Gratitude,
James
Camp Frenda Director since 2017
