This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

Resilience: Woodsman Camp builds resilience by challenging campers to try new skills, adapt to back-to-basics living, and face outdoor adventures. Hiking, kayaking, shelter building, and teamwork help them grow confidence, problem-solving skills, and the ability to bounce back from challenges.
Curiosity: Woodsman Camp sparks curiosity by letting campers explore the outdoors, discover wildlife, and try new skills. Hiking, kayaking, shelter building, and hands-on activities inspire questions, creativity, and a love for learning through adventure and exploration.

Woodsman Camp is located on the shore of Mine Lake on Quadra Island, in Main Lake Provincial Park. Campers hike in for 20 minutes on the trail to the Woodsman site while the camp boat moves all the gear over to the camp.

This "back-to-the-basics" camp has tents and outhouses, but no showers. Enjoy delicious meals prepared in our newly built Cook Shack. Activities include archery, swimming in the warm lake, kayaking, canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, hiking, orienteering, crafts, singing, playing wide games, shelter building, exploration our-trips, and daily chapels and firesides. Woodsman provides an excellent opportunity for campers to disconnect from their technology, have a ton of fun, make new friends, and learn about God. Enrollment is limited to 40 for each camp.
