What do kayaking camps offer?
Kayaking is a fun and exhilarating sport that interests older children and teenagers as well as preteen kids. Kayaking is probably one of the easiest water sports to learn. Kayaking activities here are conducted in inbound and protected lakes so there is a minimal risk to children. Kayaking can be done in a lake, river or the sea and everyone entering the water is required to put on a PDF / life jacket. These camps have become popular for exploration, adventure, athleticism, and relaxation at the same time. Camps will require a kayak, helmet, life jacket and paddle, although these may be provided by the camp itself.
Activities such as mountain biking, rock climbing, canoeing, backpacking, vertical challenge courses, community service, and more are also offered at these camps. You can also expect other water-based activities like whitewater rafting, sailing, SCUBA, and/or canoeing (of course!) Campers will also learn to safely mount and dismount a kayak and kayaking etiquette at these camps along with maneuvering a kayak in various situations in the harbor and along the coastline. Meals, accommodation, parties and games add to the fun at kayaking camps.
