International English Day Camp in Megève

International English Day Camp in Megève

Give your child the opportunity to improve their English while enjoying an unforgettable summer in the French Alps. The International Language Camps’ English Day Camp welcomes children and teens ages 6–17 to Megève, approximately one hour from Geneva.

Rather than spending the summer in a traditional classroom setting, campers combine English language learning with sports, Alpine adventures and daily interaction with an international community of young people.

Established in 1996, ILC intentionally remains a small camp, welcoming around 40 campers per week with approximately one adult for every five campers.

English Beyond the Classroom

At ILC, English is a language to be used, not simply studied.

Campers take part in small-group English lessons focused on communication, confidence and practical language skills. Classes are limited to eight students, allowing teachers to encourage every child to speak and participate.

English then continues naturally throughout the camp experience as children communicate, play, explore and build friendships with campers from different countries.

This combination helps children become more comfortable expressing themselves in English while associating the language with positive experiences and new friendships.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?

Each day combines learning, activity and social interaction:

• Morning: English lessons focused on communication and active participation.
• Lunch: A shared meal with the international camp community.
• Afternoon: Sports, outdoor activities, creative experiences and Alpine adventures adapted to each age group.
• End of day: Day campers return to their families after enjoying the same daytime program and international environment as our residential campers.

Three Experiences for Ages 6–17

Our programs evolve as children grow, allowing each age group to enjoy an experience suited to their interests and stage of development.

FUN Program – Ages 6–9
A playful introduction to English, international friendships, sports and activities in a supportive environment designed for younger campers.

ADRENALINE Program – Ages 10–13
English learning combines with more adventurous outdoor experiences, encouraging confidence, curiosity and teamwork.

TEENS MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE – Ages 14–17
A dedicated teen experience combining English with mountain adventure, teamwork, decision-making, independence and friendships with teenagers from around the world.

Small Camp, International Community

ILC's intentionally small size is an important part of the experience. With around 40 campers each week and a 1:5 staff-to-camper ratio, children can be known and supported individually while still enjoying a genuinely international environment.

Campers don't simply improve their English. They learn to communicate with people from different cultures, become more independent, gain confidence and create friendships that can extend well beyond their stay.
