International Language Camps – ADRENALINE Program | French Immersion | Ages 10–13

Learn French. Take on new challenges. Experience the French Alps.

The ADRENALINE Program is designed for children and young teens ages 10–13 who are ready for more adventure, greater independence and new experiences.

Set in Megève in the French Alps, the program combines French language learning with exciting outdoor activities, sports, cultural discovery and friendships with campers from around the world. Children are encouraged to challenge themselves, try new experiences and gain confidence while enjoying the supportive environment of a small international camp.

Established in 1996, The International Language Camps intentionally remains small, welcoming around 40 campers per week with approximately one adult for every five campers. This allows our team to know campers individually while giving them the freedom to grow, explore and become more independent.

Learn French by Living It

At ILC, French is not simply a classroom subject. It becomes part of the entire camp experience.

French lessons take place in small groups of no more than eight students, organised according to language level. Lessons focus on communication and active participation through interactive methods such as games, role-playing, drama and practical activities.

Beyond the classroom, campers continue developing their confidence through everyday interactions, activities, excursions and camp life.

The aim is not only to improve language skills, but to help campers feel increasingly comfortable communicating in French in real situations.

Adventure, Challenge and Discovery

The ADRENALINE Program gives campers opportunities to discover the mountains, challenge themselves and experience activities adapted to their age.

Depending on the weekly program and conditions, activities may include experiences such as rafting, climbing, hiking, mountain activities, team sports and other outdoor adventures, alongside cultural and creative activities.

Each experience encourages campers to try something new, cooperate with others and develop confidence.

Objectives and Spirit

During their stay, ADRENALINE campers are encouraged to:

• Improve their French through lessons and real-life communication.
• Build confidence and independence.
• Discover new sports and outdoor activities.
• Develop teamwork and communication skills.
• Meet children from different countries and cultures.
• Step outside their comfort zone in a supportive environment.
• Discover Megève and the French Alps through activities, visits and excursions.
• Create international friendships and lasting summer memories.

The rhythm of the program combines structured activities with opportunities to socialise and enjoy camp life.

Premium Hotel Accommodation in the Heart of Megève

The residential experience is one of the distinctive features of The International Language Camps.

Rather than staying in traditional camp dormitories, residential campers are accommodated at Hôtel Au Vieux Moulin, a high-quality hotel located in the centre of Megève.

After an active day of language learning, sports and Alpine adventures, campers return to a comfortable and welcoming hotel environment where they can relax, spend time with friends and recharge for the following day.

ILC staff are present at the hotel day and night, ensuring continuity of supervision throughout the stay.

This combination of an adventurous international summer camp and quality hotel accommodation creates a distinctive residential experience: campers can enjoy greater independence while remaining within a carefully supervised environment.

The hotel's central location also allows campers to experience the atmosphere of Megève while remaining at the heart of the ILC community.

Discover More of the French Alps

For campers staying two weeks or more, Sundays provide opportunities for additional excursions and discoveries.

Depending on the program, these may include iconic destinations such as Chamonix and the Mer de Glace, the Aiguille du Midi, Annecy, or other Alpine locations and cultural experiences.

These excursions add another dimension to the stay, allowing campers to discover the region, share new experiences with their international friends and use their French beyond the classroom.

Small Camp, Big International Experience

ILC deliberately keeps its community small.

With around 40 campers per week, approximately a 1:5 staff-to-camper ratio and language classes limited to eight students, campers benefit from personal attention while enjoying a genuinely international environment.

At ages 10–13, children are beginning to seek greater independence. The ADRENALINE Program gives them opportunities to make choices, take on challenges, develop friendships and discover what they are capable of, while knowing that an experienced team remains close by.

Why Choose the ADRENALINE Program?

ADRENALINE is much more than a French course and much more than an adventure camp.

It combines French immersion, Alpine adventure, international friendships, personal development and premium hotel accommodation in central Megève.

Campers return home with more than new vocabulary. They can leave with greater confidence, increased independence, new experiences and friendships with young people from around the world.

Families can choose stays from one to five weeks, creating an international summer experience adapted to their plans.
