Numeracy and Literacy Winter Break Camp

Our Winter Break math and reading camp in Oakville is ideal for parents who want their kids to catch up or get ahead.

In our winter break camp program (offered for 1 weeks) participants spend their days between independent activities, group games and free time activities. The focus is on fun and creativity.

For example; a favorite free time activity is "shop." We set up an area where children can buy make believe grocery items with our make believe cash register and money. A fun activity while learning to use money and be responsible. 

We do Math activities in the morning and Language activities in the afternoon. 

There is a morning break/snack, afternoon lunch and afternoon snack/break. Kids spend some time outdoors to refresh their minds, weather permitting. 

Winter camp offers a flexible schedule for Oakville (and Mississauga, Burlington, Milton) parents. Sign up for 1 day or attend all 4 days (Monday - Thursday)

All our programs allow for participants to take breaks and also work at their own pace. As 5,6 and 7 years old is early stages, these participants will be assessed and given work on their performance and not grade level. We then aim to gradually move upwards from there. Some participants have been found to be working excellent at their grade level and are challenged a little higher to as manageable a point they can. We do this without stress or pressure to the child. On the other hand, we work one on one with those who have fallen a little behind or needs to catch up.  

We are English Language and Mathematics specialists however we include a huge variety of subject in both areas. This includes: Writing (comprehension and skills), Reading, Spelling and public speaking for literacy; and Money, Time, Fraction, Measurement and Patterns for Math.
