Conservatory of Dance and Music, Teen Contemporary

This program is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Creativity: Exploring dance and music will inspire your child's creative side.
  • Creativity: Our movement and dance classes will help your child with their physical ability and coordination.

Contemporary dance developed as a more free-flowing style of dance than the pre-existing style of classical ballet. Dancers explore concepts of movement such as, rise vs. fall, suspend, release and use of breath. swings, leaps and improvisation is explored. Contemporary dance adds current movement to the mix. This is a form of dance often required at arts school auditions.
