This camp is designed to build the following character traits:

  • Self-regulation: Students learn strategies to support their discipline in studying and preparing for academic assessments.
  • Independence: Students will learn strategies to independently study using a variety of methods to prepare for any kind of assessment.

During this course, students will learn test-taking strategies and effective study skills. Studying is an active practice that can be done in a variety of ways. Students will learn hands-on, interactive study activities that activate their learning and help them apply what they have learned to a variety of settings. Students will leave this course with a wide array of study strategies and a solid understanding of which strategies help in different academic situations. The tools students learn will help them gain confidence in their academics across all subject areas.
