This program is designed to build the following character traits:
Resilience: Sport provides athletes an environment where trying new things and failing at them is normal and in fact, encouraged. Through our life skills curriculum, athletes learn that in order to succeed they must be willing to step outside their comfort zone and work to turn failure into success.
Self-regulation: Sport is emotional. Learning to regulate your emotions after a loss, or failure is a life skill that sport teaches over and over again. Our life skill curriculum highlights how to self-regulate in sports and in life.
Weekly lessons are designed to develop athletes' skills through progressions-based skills and drills. For athletes to become better players they need time to work on their individual skills. Each week athletes will engage in detailed skills and drills taught by experienced Elite Camps instructors in a 6:1 athlete-to-instructor ratio.
All lessons for 10-13-year-olds are 1 hour of skills and drills and ½ hour of scrimmage.
